July 2017

Dear prayer partners, July, 2017

Since our last prayer letter, the Lord has given us opportunity to present NYC Muslim Missions in several places.

We had the privilege of joining Tabernacle Baptist Church in Virginia Beach for their missions conference. This is where Kristin and I met and were married. Kristin’s parents attend Tabernacle. We had a great time with friends and family there.

From Virginia we traveled to spend some time with Heritage Baptist Church in New York City. Heritage is the church that we believe the Lord is leading us to join and to work with when we move to NYC; so, we wanted to present to the church the ministry to which God is calling us. As there are numerous good churches in NYC, this is not a decision that we wanted to make lightly. After several months of prayer on this matter, the Lord has directed us to the church that is the right fit. Heritage is excited about our plans to reach Muslims in NYC, and we are excited about serving in that church and raising our family there. I was given the opportunity to preach a couple of times. We spent time fellowshipping in the homes of numerous church members. And we were able to enjoy a church-wide picnic on Memorial Day. Bensonhurst Baptist Church and Memorial Baptist Church also let us present the ministry and expressed a passion for reaching Muslims. The two weeks of gracious hospitality of Memorial Baptist Church was appreciated!

We returned home to Emmanuel Baptist Church to be there for a couple days of their vacation Bible school. Praise the Lord for the church visitors who attended including a couple of children from a Muslim family. Please pray that this door would remain open and that the parents would eventually be saved and join the church. We serve a big God.

Memorial Baptist Church of Ocala, FL, hosted the first eight-day missions conference we have been a part of. It was a blessing to be with a church long enough to feel that we knew many of the people when we had to leave. This was simultaneously the Family Fellowship Week for our assisting agency World Wide New Testament Baptist Missions. This was an encouraging time of preaching and fellowship.
